Sculpting a Clay Statue in the True Legacy Design Workshop
This week on the True Legacy Design YouTube channel we meet True Legacy Sculptor and Artist Travis Tutterow as he works on sculpting a clay statue from a vintage toy line in the True Legacy Design workshop.
Working off a specific one inch image on toy packaging from a famous movie series, Travis begins to sculpt a statue based off that image enlarging it 240 percent to match the specifications of the True Legacy statues and centerpieces. Watch as Travis meticulously sculpts the clay statue to recreate a true representation of the artwork featured on the retro toy packaging.
Travis began sculpting, drawing, and crafting art based off classic action figures and movies at an early age. He now applies those skills in the True Legacy Design workshop making art that shows incredible respect to the original intention of the art and artists who created the vintage toys lines we loved as children.
The mission of True Legacy Design is to bring back the magic retro toy lines by creating 3D sculptures in the form of a centerpiece or a single statue that gives incredible respect to the original intention of the artist.
The ultimate goal for True Legacy Design? To build awe-inspiring statues of famous toy lines that ignite a sense of nostalgia in every collector's heart. While we set our sights on that grand mission, our current focus is on creating a Masters of the Universe display for the VIP section of Retro-Toy Con this November.
